Spanish Poetry

JOSE ANGEL BUESA. Cuba

TODAVIA

No lo creo todavía,
Estás llegando a mi lado
Y la noche es un puñado
De estrellas y de alegría.

Palpo gusto escucho y veo
Tu rostro, tu paso largo,
Tus manos y, sin embargo,
Todavía no lo creo.

Tu regreso tiene tanto
Que ver contigo y conmigo,
Que por cábala lo digo
Y por las dudas lo canto.

Nadie nunca te reemplaza
Y las cosas más triviales
Se vuelven fundamentales,
Porque estás llegando a casa,

Sin embargo todavía
Dudo de esta buena suerte,
Porque el cielo de tenerte
Me parece fantasía.

Pero venís y es seguro
Y venís con tu mirada,
Y por eso tu llegada
Hace mágico el futuro.

Y aunque no siempre he entendido
Mis culpas y mis fracasos,
En cambio sé que en tus brazos

El mundo tiene sentido.
Y si beso la osadía
Y el misterio de tus labios
No habrá dudas ni resabios,
Te querré más todavía.

I really love this poems specially the first one from Jose Angel Buesa. I hope you like them too.

There were only 8,000 cars in the U.S., and only 144 miles of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million residents, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower. The average wage in the U.S. was 22 cents an hour.

The average U.S. worker made between $200 and $400 per year.

Memories from...

Memories from Vicente Noble Dominican Republic.

I use to go to this place every year for missionary travel. Vicente Noble is in the South portion of DR .It is a very dry and warm place , but it has beautiful people who lives there. I will be showing pictures and you will be able to tell by yourself.
This is a very poor comunity which Im not telling the name ,but as you can see it is a very needy comunity ,houses are made out of palm trees ,many of them have no water,no electricity ,no beds ,no food and many kids to feed.
Many children from this place will play here and then will take a bath here also. This community has so many need that we ,my husband and me and a group of other missionaires, take from our time and our money and help them all, specially the children.Thats me with the children. They have nothing but a big smile and a hug for you. Believe me ,they are happy ,they dont have toys but they play and appreciate whatever we can give them. Im always looking for toys and clothing for them, Im always searching for babies in need of a crib ,pampers ,milk and clothe. Those are my children,I havent been able to go lately but I always send them in my husbands van what they need. I hope I can go next year so I will be praying for that. My husband will be going in July .
This picture will tell everything...
Who said that women dont work? As you can see women sell all kind of thing (fruits ,vegetables, charcoal ,water ,clothes, medications, etc)so they and their children can survive. They work so hard all day long.May the Lord bless this women and their children and provide everything they need for the daily living. I cant wait to go back and help this people. I will like to hear from you, leave me comments or ask anything you will like to know and I will be glad to answer you. God bless you.
We love you all:
Pastor Jerlin Feliz Diaz and Zoila
Pastor Richard and Lisbania
Pastor Abelardo and Nuriz
Toño ,Estrella ,Gabrielle and fam and all our brothers and sisters from all the churches in the area.God bless you all.

Roble

As you can see the trees are full of beautiful flowers. This is a" Roble " tree which is in front of my neighbor's house. There are many varieties of this tree but the common one here in Puerto Rico is the pink one. This tree reminds me of my childhood. At my great grandmother backyard there was a centenary Roble and under that tree I use to ply with dolls and make tea parties .When the tree had flowers I use to make necklaces and play all day. As I grew up I always looked at the tree and remember those days gone by. Today my great grandmother is not with us anymore but the tree still alive. We dont have the house anymore but when I go by I can see the centenary tree and remember.Memories are forever.

Preacher

My youngest girl, 5 years young, is preaching the Word of God since she was 3 but now she came out of her nest (our church) and she is getting invitations from other churches for her to preach. God is using her ,she prays for the sick people and the Lord give them sanity. She doesnt know how to read yet but she use her illustrated Bible and tell all the stories. The last church she visited she was preaching about this lamb that she named Pancha ,she described how this little lamb didnt obey what the pastor was telling her,(to be good, to share,to obey, etc.) One day Pancha jumped out the fence and went running and running and did all the things that she wasnt suppose to do.It was night time and she was scares, she was cold, she was hungry and all of the sudden the wolf came and she was crying and crying and she started to think about the things that the pastor told her and she didnt care.Suddently she heard a noise ,she though that it was the wolf, but when she looked there was her pastor. He took her into his arms, dryed her tears, took her home and there was a party. Then she keept talking about the things that the Lord likes and dislikes and then she finished by saying tha you are the one who decides what to do with your live, take the way of live or the way of death, you decide..

I was so surprised to listen to a 5yo girl preaching with that authority and knowing exactly wat she she was talking about tha I know that it was the Lord tha used her.PRAISE THE LORD.

The first picture was when she finished preachin she was so tire that she fell to sleep and the second is before, when she was preparing her message.
